Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting with the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, lasting about 30 minutes, amid rising political tension in Oyo State.
According to reports, Fayose’s visit comes against the backdrop of allegations he previously made that Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, was planning to dethrone the monarch. The claims also coincide with controversies surrounding an alleged impeachment plot against the governor by the state House of Assembly, reportedly linked to the traditional institution.
Speaking briefly with journalists before entering the meeting, Fayose stated, “I am in Ibadan to identify with the traditional institution. The truth about the whole saga will soon be revealed.”
Details later.....
