Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, has spoken candidly about her personal life, stating that she no longer desires a romantic partner at her age.

The actress made the remarks during an interview on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast hosted by Isbae U.

Ozokwor dismissed suggestions of loneliness, noting that she is surrounded by family and receives sufficient support and companionship. She explained that, within Igbo culture, her sons and brothers-in-law serve as protectors, roles she described metaphorically as “husbands.”

According to her, there is no need for a man to share her bed or provide companionship at this stage of her life.

“I am not man-less. I have my sons around me. In Igboland, your sons and your brothers-in-law are all your husbands. So, I don’t need any man to sleep with me at night at this age. I’m old already. What would I be doing in the other room again?” she said.

The actress added that her private moments are now devoted to spirituality rather than romance. She revealed that she spends her nights in prayer, engaging in what she described as deep communication with God.

“And in the other room, what I do there now is fervent prayers, keeping night vigils and communicating with my Father in heaven,” she added.

Ozokwor’s remarks highlight her focus on faith, family, and personal contentment in her later years.
