The air component of Operation Hadin Kai has reportedly killed several terrorists following a precision airstrike on a suspected enclave at Yuwe in the Sambisa Forest area of Borno State.
According to military sources cited by Zagazola Makama, the operation was carried out on Sunday at about 5:45 p.m., based on credible intelligence and surveillance reports.
The sources disclosed that the intelligence confirmed the presence of terrorist elements in the area, with established structures including suspected bunkers and operational hideouts.
“Upon arrival over the target location in the Sambisa Forest axis, the air crew identified designated targets and engaged them with precision munitions,” the publication reported.
The strike was said to have successfully destroyed multiple logistics structures, including shelters and operational bases, while several terrorists were neutralised in the process.
The operation forms part of ongoing coordinated air and ground offensives aimed at degrading terrorist capabilities, disrupting supply chains, and restricting their movement within the theatre of operations.
Military authorities reaffirmed that sustained joint operations are designed to intensify pressure on terrorist groups and gradually restore peace in affected communities.
They added that intelligence-driven airstrikes would continue in collaboration with ground troops to dismantle remaining terrorist networks and strongholds in the region.
