The Supreme Court of Nigeria has affirmed the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by former Senate President, David Mark.
The ruling settles the lingering leadership dispute within the party, which arose following actions by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC had declined to recognise some claimants to key leadership positions in the ADC, citing earlier court rulings and ongoing litigation surrounding the party’s structure.
The apex court’s decision is expected to bring clarity to the leadership question and strengthen the party’s internal stability ahead of the 2027 general elections.
More details are expected to emerge as developments unfold.
