The candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections, Hon. Motunrayo Ola-Olusola, has assured the people of Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State that she will focus on effective and accessible representation if elected.
Recall that Hon. Ola-Olusola emerged victorious during the primary election conducted by the ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking with journalist, the ace broadcaster promised to prioritise youth empowerment, support for women, quality education, healthcare, infrastructure development, and economic opportunities for the people.
“I will maintain constant engagement with my constituents because leadership should not be distant from the people. I also intend to promote transparency, accountability, and policies that will positively impact the lives of ordinary citizens of Alimosho, rather than politics driven by selfish interests,” she stated.
The grassroots politician and broadcaster said her candidacy is built on service, integrity, inclusion, and a genuine commitment to the people. She added that she is not contesting for personal gain, but to provide purposeful representation and give the people of Alimosho a stronger voice.
“I believe leadership should be people-oriented, transparent, and transformational. Over the years, I have remained committed to grassroots politics and the development of our communities, and I am fully prepared to bring that experience and dedication into public office,” she said.
Speaking on the chances of the ADC in 2027, the candidate affirmed that the party is ready to rescue Nigeria from bad governance, insecurity, and failed promises. She noted that many Nigerians are yearning for a credible alternative that truly represents the interests of the masses, and that ADC is gradually becoming that preferred choice.
She further stressed that with the right leadership, unity, strong grassroots mobilisation, and issue-based campaigns, the ADC will make a significant impact in 2027 across different levels of government.
“The chances of the African Democratic Congress in the 2027 general election are very bright and promising. Nigerians are tired of hardship,” she added.
She appealed to her fellow contestant to embrace peace, unity, and sportsmanship, noting that politics should not divide them, as they belong to the same political family and share the common goal of building a better society.
She also advised him to avoid bitterness, violence, and actions capable of weakening the party, emphasising that the collective success of the party and the progress of the people should remain the top priority.
