Ogun State Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, has been recognized with an Award of Excellence for his exemplary leadership in the Civil Service.

The award was presented during a courtesy visit by Mr. Onasanya to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

 Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, who was represented by the  Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi eulogisied  Mr. Onasanya's leadership as a source of inspiration and motivation.

  He highlighted the significant achievements under Mr. Onasanya's tenure, including institutional reforms, workforce development  and merit-based career assessments.

"We highly value your visit today and do not take it for granted. Additionally, we see this as an opportunity to showcase the newly renovated ILE-IGBIMO hall, where Obas convene to deliberate on important matters. This renovation adds to the Ministry's accomplishments," Dr. Akinlesi stated.

Mr. Onasanya, expressed gratitude and noted his admiration for the Ministry's achievements,  commending the management for aligning with the vision of Governor Dapo Abiodun's administration and urged the Ministry's staff to maintain the integrity of the Civil service by adhering to established rules and guidelines.

"This ministry consistently demonstrates its dedication to excellence. I have attended several of your programmes and observed your commitment to fulfilling your statutory mandate in alignment with the ISEYA mantra of the State. The newly renovated ILE-IGBIMO hall for the Obas is commendable and a significant addition to your list of achievements," Mr. Onasanya remarked.

In his earlier goodwill message, Director of Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Abiodun Akinwunmi, commended Mr. Onasanya for his efforts to foster a culture of professionalism, capacity development, ethical standards, welfare and innovation which, according to him had significantly enhanced the performance of the Ogun State Civil service. Akinwunmi noted that  Onasanya's visit underscored his steadfast commitment to achieving institutional excellence within the Civil Service.

The event was also attended by the Permanent Secretary of the Bureau of Service Matters, Mr. Oladipupo Ogunfowora, along with the management and staff members of the host Ministry.
