According to Mr Onasanya, the Governor has approved the payment of 17.4 million Naira monthly for the payment of the retiree health insurance premium, adding that all retirees will enjoy the full insurance coverage without paying or contributing any amount.
This , he said is to show that this administration understands the value of taking care of our retirees, which marks another significant milestone under the ‘Social Welfare and Wellbeing’ agenda of the present administration which is aimed at safeguarding the health and wellbeing of retired officers who devoted the productive years of their lives to the service and development of Ogun State.
The Head of Service explained that the laudable initiative follows the successful implementation of the Public Sector Health Insurance Scheme for serving Public Servants introduced by the State Government in August, 2024, and further reflects the deliberate policy direction of Government towards inclusive healthcare coverage for all categories of workers, including those in retirement.
