President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to deliver a nationwide broadcast on Friday, June 12, as part of activities marking this year’s Democracy Day celebration.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday night by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, the President’s address will be aired at 7:00 a.m. on the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria.
The Presidency noted that the broadcast forms a key part of the Democracy Day commemoration, with all television and radio stations across the country directed to hook onto the NTA and Radio Nigeria networks to transmit the address.
“The speech is scheduled to air on the network of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria at 7:00 a.m.,” the statement read.
“All television and radio stations are requested to hook onto the NTA and Radio Nigeria network to carry the broadcast,” it added.
The Democracy Day address is expected to focus on the state of the nation, democratic governance and other critical national issues.
