Friends of Kitan Oyesiku Demand Justice, Urge Authorities to Intensify Investigation - The Alternative News

Friends and associates of the late Kitan Oyesiku have renewed their call for justice, urging the Ogun State Government, the Ogun State Police Command and other relevant stakeholders to intensify efforts in uncovering the circumstances surrounding her tragic death.

In a statement issued by the State Chairman, Public Relations, on behalf of the group, Oluwaseun Boye described the deceased as a peaceful, kind-hearted, and compassionate individual whose life was cut short in a cruel and senseless manner.

“Kitan was a gentle soul who did not deserve such a painful end. Her untimely death has left her family, friends and all who knew her deeply devastated,” the statement read.

The group commended the Commissioner of Police and officers of the Ogun State Police Command for the steps taken so far in the ongoing investigation, acknowledging their commitment and urging them to sustain momentum until all those connected to the crime are identified, apprehended, and prosecuted.

While appreciating the progress made, the group emphasized the need for transparency and diligence, calling on authorities not to allow the case to be neglected.

“Justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done. Bringing the perpetrators to book will reassure the public that no life is insignificant and that such criminal acts will not go unpunished,” the statement added.

The group also appealed to members of the public to assist law enforcement agencies by providing any useful information that could aid the investigation.

“We urge anyone with credible information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward. It could be the key to ensuring justice for Kitan,” the group stated.

They expressed hope that the truth would soon emerge and that those responsible for the crime would be held accountable.

Justice for Kitan Oyesiku.
