Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Olanrewaju Saka, has lauded the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, for his unwavering leadership and dedication to staff welfare and development, noting that Hamzat's leadership style has significantly boosted morale and enhanced the efficiency of the staff.
The HoS made this remark during a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, lauded the Ministry's management for its commitment to capacity building.
He emphasised that such an intellectual initiative was crucial to advancing digital literacy and strategically positioning the Ministry's staff to meet the demands of a 21st-century Public Service.
"By equipping officers with digital competencies, you are preparing a new generation of civil servants who can work more efficiently, transparently, and innovatively," Saka stated.
The Head of Service who urged all civil servants to recommit to the principles of discipline, service and continuous improvement, equally encouraged the dressing code initiative of the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, for bringing colourful innovation into the Ministry.
"I must commend the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi, for the color-match initiative of Mondays and the sustained tradition of wearing original Adire fabrics on Fridays. These initiatives demonstrate that professionalism and cultural pride can coexist harmoniously in the workforce, boosting staff morale, promoting cultural heritage as well as supporting the Adire industry," he added.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi, pledged the Ministry's continued support and operation with the Office of the Head of Service, just as he assured alignment with the Head of Service's vision.
"Our Ministry wholeheartedly aligns with your commitment to capacity building. We fully support your vision for enhancing the competence and outlook of the Ogun State Civil Service," he affirmed.
Akinlesi, expressed gratitude for the support provided by the State Government under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, which had significantly contributed to the Ministry's achievements, particularly in the area of grassroots governance within the State.
The Head of Service, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Bureau of Service Matters, Mr. Oladipupo Ogunfowora, was warmly welcomed by the management and officers of the Ministry.
