The Ogun State Government has commenced admission into the Ogun State College of Nursing Sciences for the 2026/2027 academic session, warning prospective applicants against patronising touts and fraudsters who may seek to exploit them during the admission process.
Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker, gave the warning in a statement announcing the commencement of admissions into the Ogun State College of Nursing Sciences, Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode and Ilaro campuses.
Dr. Coker, advised prospective candidates to complete their applications through the Colleges' official admission portal and refrain from dealing with unauthorised individuals who are fond of taking fraudulent advantage of admission seekers.
She stated that application forms are available online at apply.ogcon.edu.ng, adding that the admission exercise would close on July 20, 2026.
The Commissioner, further explained that candidates seeking admission must score a minimum of 180 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must have selected Ogun State College of Nursing Sciences, Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode or Ilaro, as their first-choice institution.
Dr. Coker also noted that applicants must be at least 16 years old as of August 31, 2026, and must possess a minimum of five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO or GCE examinations.
The Commissioner reiterated that admission into the Colleges would strictly be on merit-based performance and advised prospective candidates to obtain information only from official channels and avoid any form of request from individuals or groups asking them to bring money or promising admission outside the approved process.
