The Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Head of Service, Mr. Olanrewaju Saka, urging civil servants to emulate his hard work, diligence, perseverance and commitment to public service.
Speaking during the visit to his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the Chairman of the Board Evangelist Olalekan Ifede, described his appointment as well deserved and a reward for dedication.
Ifede, noted that Ogun State is fortunate to have a seasoned administrator as its 21st Head of Service, adding that the visit was to celebrate his elevation to the highest position in the state’s civil service.
He pledged the Board’s unwavering support and cooperation, assuring him of its commitment to initiatives and policies aimed at strengthening the Ogun State Civil Service and advancing the education sector.
Responding, Mr. Saka commended the SUBEB Chairman for his efforts in monitoring public schools across the State to assess policy implementation and improve the quality of basic education, praising the Board’s management and staff for their dedication and contributions to ongoing reforms in the sector.
The Head of Service further applauded the Board for complying with the state’s environmental sanitation directives, recalling his recent visit during a sanitation exercise where he observed staff maintaining a clean and healthy office environment. He noted that the Board’s achievements align with the ISEYA development agenda of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
Earlier, the Director, Administration and Supplies of the board, Mr. Femi Fatade, congratulated the Head of Service on his appointment, describing it as a testament to his professionalism. He wished him a successful and impactful tenure while reaffirming the Board’s support for his administration.
