Governor Siminalayi Fubara has declared his support for the Rainbow Coalition, a political alliance comprising members of various parties in Rivers State.

The governor made this known during the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction and equipping of a public-private pharmaceutical facility in the state. The coalition is reportedly led by Nyesom Wike.

Fubara also affirmed his backing for Bola Ahmed Tinubu as his preferred presidential candidate for the 2027 elections, alongside Kingsley China as the coalition’s governorship candidate.

He urged his supporters to align with all candidates under the coalition’s platform, emphasizing the need for unity and stability ahead of the polls.

According to the governor, the era of political tension in Rivers State has come to an end, noting that peace and cooperation are now critical to the state’s development.

“I am supporting our Rainbow Coalition. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is our President, and he is the one we are supporting. The governorship candidate is the candidate I am supporting, and anybody who believes in me will support every candidate under the Rainbow Coalition,” he stated.
