The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the successful upload of all its candidates for the 2027 general elections, meeting the deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The party confirmed that its Presidential, Vice Presidential, Senate, and House of Representatives candidates have been fully uploaded to the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP).
APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, disclosed this development in a statement shared via his official 𝕏 account, noting that a total of 471 candidates were submitted to contest various elective positions under the party’s platform.
He described the achievement as a major milestone for the party, adding that attention would now shift towards mobilization and campaign activities ahead of the elections.
“I congratulate our candidates, leaders, and members of APC on the successful 100% upload of our Presidential, Vice Presidential, Senate, and House of Representatives candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP),” he stated.
“With this milestone achieved, our focus now shifts to mobilization and preparations for a successful campaign and decisive victory at the polls,” Yilwatda added.
Meanwhile, the APC chairman expressed strong confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s chances in the 2027 presidential election, projecting a resounding victory for the party.
Speaking on Friday in Abuja during the submission of nomination forms for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, Yilwatda revealed that the party is counting on approximately 12 million votes from its registered members nationwide.
He further noted that the overwhelming support Tinubu received during the APC presidential primary reflects the level of backing the President is expected to garner in the general election.
According to him, ongoing government programmes and policies that have positively impacted millions of Nigerians are also expected to strengthen the President’s re-election prospects.
