Sam Larry Makes First Public Appearance After Surviving Auto Crash - The Alternative News

Nigerian socialite and music promoter, Samson Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry, has made his first public appearance following his survival of a recent auto crash, putting to rest widespread speculation about his condition.

A trending video circulating on social media on Saturday showed the promoter celebrating with associates. In the footage, Sam Larry appeared alert and in stable condition, sparking relief among fans and followers who had earlier been concerned about his wellbeing.

The video surfaced days after unverified reports flooded social media, falsely claiming that he had died as a result of the accident. His reappearance has since drawn thousands of reactions, with many expressing gratitude over his recovery.

Earlier, his associate, Akin Abolade, also known as Mr Lilgaga, had debunked the death rumours in an interview with PUNCH Online. He confirmed that Sam Larry was alive, though details of his condition remained unclear due to the severity of the crash.

“Yes, he’s alive and not dead, but his condition cannot be ascertained because of how bad the accident was. We spoke after the accident. He’s alive, and I’m sure of that,” Lilgaga said.

Sam Larry remains a controversial figure in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, particularly following the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, in September 2023. He faced intense public scrutiny after videos surfaced showing confrontations involving the late singer prior to his death.

The backlash led to calls for a thorough investigation, and he was subsequently questioned by the police as part of the probe. While his name featured prominently in public discourse, authorities maintained that investigations would be based strictly on available evidence. Sam Larry has consistently denied any involvement in Mohbad’s death.
