Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year, following an outstanding Premier League campaign.
The Portugal international beat Arsenal trio Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhães and David Raya, as well as Manchester City stars Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki, to claim the prestigious individual award.
Fernandes was recognised after a remarkable season in which he broke the Premier League record for assists, further cementing his status as one of the league’s leading creative players.
The award is another major individual honour for the Manchester United skipper, who continues to play a central role for the club both on and off the pitch.
