Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has urged all the citizens and residents of the State to adopt a robust maintenance culture in order to ensure the longevity of existing infrastructure projects.

The Governor made the appeal, during the inauguration of a community road project in Makun, Sagamu Local Government Area, where he was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat.

Prince Abiodun, highlighted the critical role of grassroots projects in driving comprehensive development within local communities, stressing the importance of community involvement in maintaining these projects, urging residents to uphold government's efforts by ensuring proper upkeep for the benefit of all.

"The government acknowledges the challenges faced by local communities and remains committed to fulfilling its responsibilities to the populace. It is crucial for residents to keep drainage systems clear of debris and to prevent any physical damage to road surfaces,’’ he stated.

In his address, the Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Jubril Odulate, reaffirmed the local government's dedication to improving the quality of life for its residents.

"We will continue to meet the needs of our people, aligning with the vision and agenda set forth by Governor Abiodun," he added.
