The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has commissioned the Muhammadu Buhari Estate, describing the project as a milestone journey towards providing decent, smart and affordable housing for the people of the State.
The estate, smart, affordable, comprising 108 housing units and situated along the Oke-Mosan- Kobape express road, was commissioned amidst the presence of top government officials and stakeholders in the Housing sector where the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, appreciated the First Lady for honouring the programme, noted the importance of addressing the housing deficits of the State, through promotion and provision of decent accommodation that would improve the living conditions of the people.
The Governor, further assured the present administration would continue to work tirelessly towards the provision of affordable housing unit for its citizens till the very last day of the administration.
Also speaking during the ceremony, Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, expressed appreciation to the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her support and commitment towards the successful completion of Phase 1 of the housing project.
He noted that the completion of the 108 housing units had demonstrated the government's determination to provide decent housing for low, medium and high earners, while also supporting the State's efforts to bridge the housing deficit, thus, improving the standard of living of its people.
He further assured the people of the State that the Ministry of Housing would continue to support the initiative, aimed at increasing the availability of decent homes, promoting sustainable housing development across the State.
