The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the personal particulars and credentials of candidates contesting the 2027 presidential and National Assembly elections for public inspection.

The documents were displayed on Saturday at INEC offices across the country in line with the electoral timetable for the forthcoming general elections.

Among those whose particulars were published are President Bola Hamed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his running mate, Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Also listed are Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and his running mate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), also had his details published alongside those of his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi.

The publication enables members of the public to scrutinise candidates’ personal information, academic qualifications and other submitted credentials.

In addition, documents of candidates contesting for seats in the Senate and House of Representatives have been made available at designated INEC offices nationwide.

The exercise forms part of INEC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections and is aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in the nomination process.
