Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has said that strategic resource allocation and diligent monitoring are essential components for the successful implementation of projects and initiatives.

 Represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, Governor Abiodun made this statement during the unveiling of developmental grassroots projects in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of the State.

He highlighted the core purpose of governance, which included; addressing the needs of the people and creating an environment conducive for growth and development.

"Projects do not emerge spontaneously; they are designed to address specific needs. I commend the Chairman and urge our community to adopt a culture of maintenance," he stated.

Earlier, Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, Hon. Dare Alebiosu, remarked that the completed projects were a testament to his commitment to his constituents.

           He noted that, in addition to infrastructure, initiatives, such as aggressive revenue generation had accelerated the local government's progress, as evidenced by achievements across various wards.

"The projects commissioned today were selected based on the needs of our people. We have successfully delivered 23 projects, all certified and classified as Ogun Standard, with no abandoned projects," he affirmed.

Former Transition Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, Alhaji AbdulRaheem Saromi, congratulated the community on having a dedicated Chairman. He expressed gratitude to the State Government for its support and applauded Alebiosu for fulfilling his mandate comprehensively.

The commissioned projects included; renovated health centers at Oke-Aje, Sabo, Apebi and Irawo; the renovated Legislative Chamber and the INEC office in the Secretariat; four blocks of open stalls at Ita-Ale; four blocks of classrooms at Porogun; provision of medical equipment for health centers; and furnishings for schools, among others.
