NAHCON Fixes 2027 Hajj Payment Deadline, Fare Up to ₦7.88m - The Alternative News

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the fares for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage, with intending pilgrims expected to pay between ₦7,560,822 and ₦7,882,822, depending on their departure zones.

In a public notice issued on Friday, the commission said the fares were approved by the Federal Government following consultations with the Forum of State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and key service providers in Saudi Arabia.

Pilgrims departing from the Maiduguri/Yola Zone will pay ₦7,560,822, while those from the Northern Zone will pay ₦7,672,822. The Southern Zone has the highest fare at ₦7,882,822.

NAHCON said intending pilgrims who had already deposited ₦5 million would be required to pay the outstanding balance to complete their registration.

Those in the Maiduguri/Yola Zone will pay an additional ₦2,560,822, while Northern and Southern Zone pilgrims will pay ₦2,672,822 and ₦2,882,822, respectively.

The commission directed new registrants to make payments through their respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies or Commissions or through approved Hajj Savings Scheme participating banks.

Meanwhile, NAHCON fixed September 26, 2026, as the final deadline for the complete upload of intending pilgrims’ biometric data on the designated Nusuk-Masar digital platform.

It also directed states to complete the remittance of all 2027 Hajj fares by December 2, 2026.

The commission warned that there would be no extension of the deadlines, stressing that data synchronisation and seat allocation depended on timely remittances.

NAHCON further cautioned that failure to meet the deadlines would result in the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots.
