Zambia striker Barbra Banda has emerged as the leading scorer at the ongoing 2026 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The 26-year-old forward has netted five goals so far in the tournament, extending her tally after scoring in Zambia’s 2–1 victory over Malawi on Wednesday. Her impressive performance puts her two goals ahead of closest challengers Temwa Chawinga of Malawi and Inès Konan of Ivory Coast.

Despite Banda’s outstanding form, Zambia will not feature in the quarter-final stage after finishing third in Group C, behind Nigeria and Malawi.
