No fewer than 150 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), comprising women, men and youths, have received ₦10,000 each under an empowerment programme initiated by an APC chieftain, Alhaji Fasiu Ajadi, a Commissioner II of the Ogun State House of Assembly Service Commission.

The empowerment programme took place during the APC Ward 6 weekly meeting in Itoko, Abeokuta South, where the beneficiaries received the financial assistance to help meet their feeding and other personal needs.

Speaking on the selection process, Ajadi explained that the beneficiaries were selected randomly, while consideration was also given to their commitment and participation in the activities of the party, saying the initiative was aimed at providing timely support to party members and assisting them in meeting some of their immediate financial obligations.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Alao Muyideen and Adija Sorunke expressed gratitude to Ajadi for extending the gesture to them during a difficult period, describing the support as timely and helpful in meeting some of their immediate needs.

The empowerment programme was carried out in the presence of APC Ward 6 executives, led by the ward chairman, Mr Lawal, alongside other party leaders and members at the meeting.
