The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has approved the appointment of Mrs. Olubunmi Omotayo OSO as the Secretary of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

The appointment is part of the administration’s commitment at ensuring continuity in leadership and enhancing operational efficiency across the State Civil/Public Service.

The appointment, according to the Head of Service, Mr. Iskeel Olanrewaju Saka was made in accordance with the provisions of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board Law, 2005, and in line with the established procedures for appointing qualified officers to senior leadership positions in the State Civil/ Public Service.

Mrs. Oso has been charged to bring her experience, professionalism and leadership qualities to bear in the discharge of her responsibilities and also expected to contribute meaningfully to the effective implementation of the state government’s education policies and the "Building Our Future Together" agenda of the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration.

Born on the 21st November, 1972, she joined the Ogun State Civil Service as Education Officer II on 11th June, 1999. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, 1997, Postgraduate Diploma in Education and

Masters Degree in Education Administration and Planning and until her appointment, Mrs. Oso was the Director of Public Schools in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, as well as a member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

The Head of Service, Mr. Saka congratulates Mrs. Oso on her appointment and urged her to justify the confidence reposed in her by demonstrating diligence, integrity and commitment to service.
