Ogun State Agency For Mass and Livelong Education (AMLE) a department under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has trained some selected learners from both public and private primary and secondary schools on how to make puff puff, chinchin and liquid soap.

The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu during the training, as part of the Summer Coaching organised for the learners at Army Children, Nyenogoa Barracks, Lafenwa, Abeokuta, said the initiative reflects the commitment of the government to equiping the children with practical skills, creativity and confidence beyond classroom.

Prof. Arigbabu appreciated the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his visionary leadership and approval for the laudable initiative, noting that if young people are exposed early to useful skills, it would help them discover their talents and prepare them for a reproductive and self-reliant future.

The Commissioner represented by the Director, Agency For Mass and Livelong Education, Miss. Abosede Odulesi encouraged learners to participate fully and maximise the opportunity by listening enthusiastically and ask questions when necessary, saying the skills acquired may be the foundation of their success in the future.

"I commend the facilitators for the good work they are doing. Our parents are also appreciated for releasing their children to participate in this programme and explore another form of education that will enhance their skills, broaden their opportunities and contribute to a better future", Arigbabu said 

Speaking on behalf of other facilitators at the Summer Coaching, Miss Janet Aluko commended the Ministry for the training, saying the initiative would create a lasting impact on the children

In their appreciative notes, two of the beneficiaries, Emmanuel Bamidele, Kehinde Salami and Favour Bamidele promised to turn the skills acquired into a big venture, applauding the government for the soul lifting acquisition programme.
