In its continued efforts to promote transparency, accountability and public confidence in governance, the Ogun State Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has strengthened its collaboration with the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), Ogun State Office.

The Director-General, Ogun State Bureau of Public Procurement, Mrs. Feyisara Bolarinwa-Adebowale, disclosed this while receiving a delegation from the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), Ogun State, who had come to pay a courtesy visit to the Bureau at Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta.

She described the visit as a welcome development, reaffirming the Bureau’s commitment to due process and its readiness to collaborate with the Commission towards ensuring prompt, fair and effective resolution of public complaints in the State.

"The Bureau operates an open-door policy. We also have an internal mechanism for handling public complaints and petitions relating to procurement processes. All grievances brought before the Bureau are thoroughly investigated and appropriately resolved in accordance with extant laws, regulations and international best practices,” she said.

While making a remark, the Federal Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission, Hon. Morakinyo Akinleye, enlightened more on the Commission’s mandate which was to promote social justice and provide an accessible avenue for the resolution of complaints from aggrieved citizens, contractors and public servants.

He emphasised that every complaint received by the Commission was treated with the utmost diligence, fairness and integrity, noting that the Commission had continued to witness increased public confidence, as evidenced by the growing number of citizens coming forward to lodge complaints on various issues affecting them.

The engagement further underscored the importance of inter-agency collaboration in strengthening accountability, protecting the rights of citizens and improving public service delivery across the State.

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of sensitisation pamphlets and other relevant documents by the Federal Commissioner to the Director-General of the Bureau.
