Top echelons in the health sector of the Civil/Public Service of Ogun State have been called upon to lead administratively by upholding the highest standards of the public service ethics, transparency and dedication to duty.
The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Olanrewaju Saka made the call when he declared open a 2-day orientation workshop for the Newly Appointed Medical Directors/Chief Executive Officers of the 12 State/Semi autonomous hospitals, put together by the Hospitals Management Board, with the theme: "Understanding the Public Service, Embracing Professionalism and Strengthening Effective Healthcare Service Delivery", held at the MITROS Residences, Ibara, Abeokuta.
According to him, as senior administrative leaders in the Ogun State Public Service, they have the responsibility to ensure the successful implementation of the Governor’s developmental agenda, which depends significantly on the ability of public institutions to deliver measurable benefits to the people and added that their leadership must inspire public confidence, promote equity, social justice and sustainable development.
He said the orientation workshop was not only timely but essential, as it provided an opportunity to deepen their understanding of relevant policies, operational procedures, financial regulations and the expectations of executive leadership.
"I urge all participants to engage actively in the sessions, internalize the knowledge gained and apply the lessons learnt to strengthen institutional efficiency and improve healthcare service delivery across Ogun State.
"I commend the Hospitals Management Board for organising this timely orientation workshop and encourage the Board to sustain its efforts in continuous capacity building, fostering inter-hospital collaboration and strengthening the monitoring of service delivery.
