Towards ensuring safety of lives and property, the Commander and Chief Executive Officer of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE), Commander Olaseni Ogunyemi has urged citizens and organisations, to safeguard road users through organised public education, enlightenment programmes, as well as compliance and enforcement.  

Commander Ogunyemi made this known in Abeokuta, while playing host to a delegation from the International Fellowship of Christian Chaplains Incorporated (IFCCI), Abeokuta Chapter, saying it was a collective responsibility of all and sundry to ensure safety by promoting peace and harmony for the overall well-being of the people.

  He noted that TRACE, as an agency of government is saddled with the responsibility of managing traffic for the safety of road users, assuring that it would continue to play its part.

 He appreciated the organisation for its religious and humanitarian services, enjoining them to join hands with the government in its developmental drive and intensify efforts in preaching the gospel of safety and the need to obey traffic laws.

In his remark, the National Coordinator, IFCCI, Prof. Olumuyiwa Samuel, who explained the purpose of the organisations’ visit, said they were priests in uniform, lauding TRACE for its commitment and dedication to preventing road crashes and accidents. He promised to assist the agency in traffic activities and provide information where necessary.
