As part of his commitment to contribute to the growth of the Education sector and complement the efforts of Ogun State Government led by Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Permanent Member III of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Abiodun Ajayi, has donated school uniforms, notebooks and other educational materials to his Alma Mater, Catholic Comprehensive High School, Onikolobo, Abeokuta.

While addressing the students in the school premises Hon. Ajayi said that the State  government had done a lot at ensuring  quality education   for every child, calling on well-meaning individuals in the society and corporate organisations to continue to support parents of the less privileged to meet up with basic educational demands.

The Permanent Member III promised to continue to give back to his Alma Mater, appreciating the Governor for prioritising quality education in the three senatorial districts of the State.

He advised the students to be of good conduct, focus on their studies and desist from acts capable of destroying their future.

In their separate responses, the Principal of Catholic Comprehensive High School (Junior), Mr. Oluwole Bankole and the Vice Principal of the Senior School, Mrs. Funke Oniyide, expressed their gratitude to the donor, saying that the educational materials would contribute positively to the students.

Meanwhile, Hon. Ajayi, in collaboration with the school administrators and food vendors, had arranged for subsidised meals for students at his Alma Mater.

According to him, the initiative was aimed at ensuring that students were not learning with empty stomachs, urging the school management to monitor the process to achieve its objectives.

Speaking on behalf of the other students, Phillip Godswill, appreciated Hon. Ajayi for the initiative, promising that they would be good ambassadors of the school and the State.
