The Lagos State Taskforce has arrested 30 suspected criminals during a cleanup operation in Agege.

The raid began at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, and targeted areas such as Isale Oja, the railway line, and AP Junction, spots known for criminal activity.

According to a post by the Senior Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, Jubril Gawat, all suspects will be charged to court.

He added that the operation was part of efforts to remove criminal elements and restore order in the state.

The post reads: “In continuation of the Lagos State Taskforce CleanUp enforcement operation to rid the State of criminal elements, the Agency set out at about 2200hrs on Tuesday, 20th May, 2025 and embarked on its ongoing clean up enforcement operation in the state.

“The areas visited during the operation includes; Isale Oja, Railways line, AP junction in Agege areas where the presence of some undesirable elements was noticed, particularly on the rail track.

“During the RAID exercise, a total number of 30 suspects were arrested and sanity was restored. All the Suspects will be charged to court accordingly.
