The Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has called on the Onilisa of Lisaland, Oba Oladele Odugbemi to always obey and observe the extant rules and regulations of traditional institution aimed at protecting and preserving the traditional and cultural heritage.
Oba Gbadebo made the call when Oba Odugbemi along with his traditional council paid an homage to the Alake in his palace in Abeokuta, the state capital barely two months the state government performed the installation and coronation of Oba Odugbemi as Onilisa of Lisaland.
The monarch reminded Oba Odugbemi of the need to at all times adhere to the rules and procedure of the tradition for meaningful development of his domain.
Oba Gbadebo who praised Onilisa for his efforts over the years in the developmental projects of the area, urging him to be spurred with his upgrading as a monarch by ensuring more development in his domain considering the vast growth of Igboreland in general.
He urged him to continue to ensure unity, peace and harmony of Lisa community and Igbore as a whole because of its expansion.
The Oluwo of Igbore, Chief Anthony Olayiwola Oliyide thanked Alake of Egbaland for ensuring the recognition and installation of Oba Oladele Odugbemi as Onilisa of Lisa.
Chief Oliyide explained that the journey of installing Oba Odugbemi as Baale of Lisa and now as the crown traditional ruler started in 2006 and expressed his gratitude to Alake of Egbaland for making the dream a reality.
He urged Onilisa of Lisa to bring his subjects together for steady development of Lisa community.
The Onilisa of Lisaland, Oba Oladele Odugbemi appreciated Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland for making the installation and today's homage a reality, assuring of his absolute loyalty to the traditional institution in the state.
Oba Odugbemi called on the people of Lisa to rally round him for meaningful development and total peace in the community.
He therefore restated his call for the government to address the issue of bad road from Ijoko - Lisa community for easy vehicular movement and to promote commerce and industry to flourish in Lisa.
