Lamine Yamal netted a trademark stunning long-range strike as Barcelona wrapped up their 28th La Liga title with an impressive 2-0 win at bitter city rivals Espanyol, TNT Sports reports.

After completing a 4-3 win over Real Madrid at the weekend, Barca moved an unassailable seven points clear of Los Blancos with two games remaining of the campaign at the RCDE Stadium, home of their local derby foes.

Having won the Spanish Super Cup and the Copa del Rey, Hansi Flick's side made it a domestic treble with 17-year-old Spain winger Yamal finding a sublime opener on 53 minutes as he crashed a left-foot shot high into the home net from 22 yards.

Leandro Cabrera was sent off for the home side via VAR for lashing out at Yamal on 78 minutes before substitute Fermin Lopez accepted a pass from Yamal six minutes into added time to fire low into the net.

Despite producing a stout effort in the first half, Espanyol have now gone 28 matches without win against Barca, the longest winless run of any local derby in the history of La Liga
