An attempted robbery turned fatal in Dorayi Babba, Unguwar Jakada area of Kano State, when an armed intruder, identified as Musa Nuhu, lost his life following a failed attack on a residential home.

According to reports, Nuhu broke into the house wielding a knife, during which he injured two women in an attempt to subdue the occupants and steal valuables.

However, the robbery was cut short when a male member of the household confronted him. A fierce struggle ensued, leaving both the attacker and the defender injured.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, issued a brief statement via his official Facebook page:

“The suspect was overpowered after a courageous resistance by the victim. He was taken to the hospital for treatment but was later confirmed dead due to the injuries he sustained.”

The two injured female residents are reportedly receiving medical treatment, and police investigations are ongoing.

The incident has sparked conversation across the community, with many hailing the family's bravery while others call for improved neighborhood security and quicker emergency response systems.
