The Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ali Bukar Dalori, is currently presiding over the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
DAILY POST reports that Dalori’s official resumption on Monday morning, succeeding the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje, who stepped down from his position as National Chairman on Friday, reportedly due to health-related concerns.
In response to Ganduje’s resignation, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directed Dalori, the former APC Vice Chairman (North), to take over as the Acting National Chairman of the ruling party.
Dalori, a prominent politician from Borno State in Nigeria’s North-East region, is now tasked with steering the party's affairs during this transitional period. Party insiders say today’s NEC meeting is expected to focus on strategic realignments and preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
