The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (OGMPWB) has announced that the first batch of 428 pilgrims will depart Saudi Arabia for Nigeria on Monday, June 16, 2025, following the completion of this year’s Hajj rituals.
In a statement issued by the Board's Executive Secretary, Alhaji Ajibola Taiwo, preparations for the return journey are already underway, including the weighing of luggage, which commenced earlier this weekend.
Pilgrims were urged to strictly adhere to the 32kg luggage limit, as part of efforts to ensure a smooth, safe, and hassle-free return to Nigeria.
The Board emphasized that compliance with luggage regulations and airport protocols would help prevent delays and complications.
“We appeal to our pilgrims to cooperate with officials and ensure they only pack essentials, avoid prohibited items, and respect the excess baggage policy,” the statement read.
The Board expressed appreciation to the pilgrims for their conduct during the Hajj and called for continued patience and discipline throughout the return process.

Information and Public Relations Officer, OGMPWB.
