The Enugu State Police Command has apprehended seven male suspects and recovered firearms, ammunition, and other incriminating items during a series of coordinated operations across the state in June 2025.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Daniel Ndukwe, the arrests were made in various locations based on credible intelligence. The recovered items include firearms, one expended cartridge, two live cartridges, and several incriminating exhibits.
SP Ndukwe stated that the suspects will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Giwa, commended the efforts of the operatives involved and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to fighting crime in the state.
“We are determined to make Enugu increasingly uninhabitable for criminal elements,” the Commissioner declared.
He further urged residents to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and to support the police by providing timely and credible information that can aid in combating crime.
