Tinubu Hails Sanwo-Olu at 60, Lauds His Commitment to Lagos Development - The Alternative News

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, commending his unwavering dedication to the growth and transformation of Lagos State.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Governor Sanwo-Olu as a loyal and visionary leader who has demonstrated a deep commitment to the progressive ideals guiding Lagos’ development.

“Your execution of this vision is exemplified by landmark achievements, including completing the Blue and Red Rail Lines and the ongoing preparations for the Purple Line, which will serve the vital Lekki corridor,” the President noted.

He further urged the governor to maintain the momentum by focusing on projects that will bring tangible benefits to residents of the state. “I encourage you to sustain this trajectory by prioritising impactful projects for Lagosians, notably the long-awaited Fourth Mainland Bridge and the Freedom Way to Victoria Garden City (VGC) Road,” Tinubu added.

President Tinubu also extended his wishes for Sanwo-Olu’s continued good health, strength, and many more years of dedicated public service.

The statement recalled that Governor Sanwo-Olu began his political career under Tinubu’s mentorship and has served in various key capacities within the Lagos State Government, including as a commissioner across different ministries and as Managing Director of the Lagos State Property Development Corporation (LSDPC).

Governor Sanwo-Olu marked his 60th birthday on Wednesday, receiving accolades from political leaders, civil society, and Lagos residents for his efforts to advance infrastructure, transportation, and public service delivery across the state.
