Panic has gripped Tse-Anundu, a village in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, following a deadly attack by suspected armed Fulani herdsmen on Friday.

According to local sources, the assailants invaded the community late in the evening, killing one resident on the spot and abducting a woman whose whereabouts remain unknown. The identity of the deceased is yet to be officially confirmed.

Eyewitnesses reported scenes of chaos as terrified residents fled their homes, with many narrowly escaping the sudden assault. Several homes were abandoned overnight amid growing fears of a possible follow-up attack.

The community has since been thrown into mourning and uncertainty, as leaders urge the government to intervene urgently and bolster security in the area to prevent further violence.
