Noor, daughter of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has shared an emotional tribute following her father’s passing on Saturday, July 13, at the age of 82 in a London clinic.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday, July 14, Noor expressed her sorrow, writing:
“I’m heartbroken that we won’t get to share the moments and experiences I had planned for us. I’ll always carry your memory with me. I pray that you’re granted the highest place in Jannah, and your soul rests in eternal peace, Daddy.”
Her message added a personal and emotional layer to the national mourning, which has seen tributes from political figures, religious leaders, and citizens alike.
In Bauchi, an Islamic school held a three-day prayer session in honour of the late president, further demonstrating his continued influence and reverence in the northern region and across the country.
Buhari, a former military ruler and two-term civilian president, leaves behind a complex legacy marked by both praise and criticism.
