The Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Ogun State Technical and Vocational Education Board (OGSTVEB) have announced the postponement of the 2025 OgunTEACh Screening Examination.
Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, while speaking with Newsmen in his office in Abeokuta, said that the virtual examination which was originally scheduled for Thursday, July 10, 2025, would hold on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
He further explained that, the postponement was to give applicants who were experiencing challenges in receiving email notifications enough time to resolve such issues.
Prof. Arigbabu, emphasised that the government was taking a bold step towards conducting the entire examination process through a dedicated mobile application, which would make the screening more efficient, transparent and accessible to all candidates, regardless of their location.
He outlined the examination guideline to indicate that, applicants would first receive an initial email notification indicating their class or cohort name (e.g., 2025 OgunTEACh Screening Exam), the exam date range and their specific time slot to take the test.
Applicants would also receive instructions on how to download the official mobile app and register ahead of the exam day. He advised candidates who do not find the email in their inbox to check their spam folder and, if necessary, to contact the support team immediately via the email address: [email protected]
Prof. Arigbabu urged all applicants to download the official app from the Google Play Store, create an account and ensure they can log in successfully before the examination date.
He said the applicants would receive another email with detailed instructions on how to take the exam, saying it would include how to locate the test within the app and how it works.
According to the Commissioner ‘’ candidates are warned not exit the app during the exam. "If they exit the app once, they will receive a warning, if it happens again, the exam will end automatically and only their answered questions will be submitted. This may lead to disqualification.’’
He added that the examination was strictly timed, with a countdown displayed on the screen. Once the allotted time for a question expires, the system would automatically move to the next question and candidates would not be able to return to previous ones. Upon submission, candidates would receive a confirmation email to indicate examination had been submitted.
Prof. Arigbabu concluded that only candidates who scored above the cut-off mark would be shortlisted, saying shortlisted applicants would receive a congratulatory message, their examination scores and information on the next steps in the recruitment process.
