The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has gained significant momentum in Kebbi State following a wave of defections from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC), and Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kamba/Dandi Local Government Area.

During a political gathering held in Kamba town on Wednesday, dozens of former ward and unit officials from the three major parties officially joined the ADC. The defectors cited poor leadership and neglect in their former parties as key reasons for their decision.

ADC State Chairperson, Hajiya Hawa’u Muhammad (popularly known as Yar Buga), hailed the development as a “major boost” for the party, especially in Kebbi South. She described the defections as a reflection of widespread dissatisfaction with the current political landscape.

“This movement shows that people are looking for an alternative, a party that listens and serves. ADC represents that hope,” she stated.
