Enoch Ali Maku, a Senior Special Assistant to the Chief Judge of Nasarawa State and retired judiciary director, has regained his freedom after five days in captivity.
Maku was abducted last Wednesday in Agyaragu, near Lafia, alongside three others.
According to a family source, he was released around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday and taken for a medical check-up. It remains unclear if a ransom was paid, as the family declined to comment.
The Nasarawa State Police Command earlier confirmed the abduction of four persons, two of whom were rescued after a police confrontation with the kidnappers.
Police spokesperson DSP Ramhan Nansel said efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining victims and apprehend the perpetrators.
