Tragedy has hit the family of Hon. Aondona Dajoh, the immediate past Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, following the sudden death of his elder brother, Elder Gwamile Dajoh.

Elder Gwamile reportedly collapsed and died on Sunday, just hours after his younger brother resigned from his position as Speaker of the Assembly.

Although details surrounding the incident remain sketchy, sources said the late elder Dajoh had been deeply troubled by the political crisis rocking the House in recent weeks.

His death came shortly after Hon. Aondona Dajoh stepped down, paving the way for the election of Hon. Alfred Berger as the new Speaker during an emergency plenary session.
