The All Progressives Congress (APC) has clarified that its endorsement of President Bola Tinubu as its preferred candidate for the 2027 presidential election does not foreclose the chances of other aspirants.

National Organising Secretary of the party, Suleiman Argungu, made this known on Monday during a press parley at the APC national secretariat in Abuja.

Argungu explained that while the National Working Committee (NWC), party governors, and organs across the six geopolitical zones have declared support for Tinubu, the nomination process remains open.

“It will be the wish of the party, and we, the NWC, have already endorsed President Tinubu as the next presidential candidate of the party. And by extension, other organs have equally done the same thing. Governors in the states have done the same too. It has also been replicated in all six geographical zones of the country. But it does not mean that the door is closed,” he said.

He added that when the party releases its timetable, any member interested in contesting would still be free to purchase the presidential nomination forms.
