The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Hon. (Dr) Kenny Bello, has awarded a full scholarship to a talented student, Master Chibuke Isaiah, from secondary school up to the university level.
Chibuke, a JSS 3 student of Bukayo Group of Schools, Ijebu Imusin, lives with his family on Aggey Road, Esure, in Ijebu Imusin, Ogun State. He has now been officially absorbed into the Hon. Kenny Bello Scholarship Award Scheme for Indigent Students, an initiative aimed at supporting less-privileged but brilliant children across Ogun State.
The scholarship award was announced on Wednesday, September 16, 2025, during Hon. Kenny Bello’s “constituency thank-you visit” to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ijebu Imusin Ward 1, in Ijebu East Local Government Area.
Chibuke had attended the ward meeting with a self-made architectural model of a gigantic building, showcasing his creativity and determination. Moved by the boy’s talent and faith, Hon. Bello not only presented him with a cash prize but also pledged to sponsor his education from secondary school to the Master’s degree level in any university of his choice.
Chibuke’s mother, Mrs. Mary Isaiah, expressed deep gratitude during the meeting, describing the gesture as divine intervention. His father, Mr. Isaiah, a peasant farmer and indigene of Nasarawa State, also thanked Hon. Bello wholeheartedly, praying for God’s mercy, grace, and protection over him and his family.
Arrangements have already been concluded to cover Chibuke’s first-term tuition fees at his current school in Ijebu Imusin. Speaking after the announcement, the young beneficiary expressed appreciation to Hon. Bello and revealed his ambition of becoming an engineer in the future.
This act of generosity further underscores Hon. Kenny Bello’s compassion and his continued commitment to giving back to society and uplifting the lives of the less privileged.
