Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in the retail price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) across the country.

The 650,000-barrel-per-day refinery said its new gantry price is N820 per litre, the same figure it announced last month.

According to the new price template released on the company’s official X account on Thursday, the refinery has adjusted petrol prices as follows:

Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti States: N841 per litre, down from N860 while 

Abuja, Edo, Delta, Rivers, and Kwara States: N851 per litre, down from N885.

This represents a reduction of N19 per litre in Lagos and other South-West states, and N34 per litre in Abuja and the South-South.

The new template will take effect from Monday, September 15, 2025.

However, Dangote Group clarified that the price template is not binding on petroleum marketers and retailers, except for MRS and its other official distribution partners.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) on Thursday warned it may resume strike action against Dangote Group, accusing the company of reneging on recent resolutions.
