Arise TV Morning Show anchor, Rufai Oseni, has faulted Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, over his remarks during a statewide broadcast following his reinstatement.

Oseni argued that Fubara had been “bullied and subdued,” describing his celebration of peace as hollow.

In a post on his X handle on Saturday, the broadcaster wrote:

“Fubara is celebrating peace of the graveyard after he has been bullied and subdued. ‘Peace is better than war,’ he says. Play back all his tapes for him.”

His comments came after Governor Fubara, in his Friday broadcast, urged Rivers people to reflect on the lessons of the six-month emergency rule imposed by President Bola Tinubu’s administration on the state.

Fubara maintained that “the costliest peace is cheaper than the cheapest war.” He explained that he chose to cooperate with the Federal Government and resisted pressures to legally challenge the constitutionality of the emergency rule, saying his decision was aimed at preserving peace, stability, and progress in Rivers State.
