The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has criticised popular TikTok influencer Peller for prioritising luxury over education after reportedly acquiring a ₦350 million mansion in Lagos.
In a post on Instagram Wednesday, Ossai expressed disappointment at what he described as misplaced priorities, stressing that investing in education should come before lavish spending.
“Peller buying a house and a car at his age when he should be focused on school is disheartening. Those guiding him have let him down,” he wrote.
Ossai urged Peller’s management to channel his earnings toward schooling, warning that without education, the influencer risks shortchanging his long-term success.
The aide’s criticism comes amid growing debates about young Nigerians prioritising quick fame and material wealth over personal development and learning.
“The boy is too young to forget about education. Please, take Peller back to school and invest his money. I am really disappointed,” Ossai added.
Peller, who has built a large following on TikTok through skits and social media antics, recently apologised publicly to fans, admitting that some of his content had been misunderstood and promising to be on his best behaviour moving forward.
