The detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, on Friday, appeared before the Federal High Court in Abuja without legal representation, choosing instead to personally defend himself.
The case had been called, and Kanu announced his appearance in person.
The development follows the withdrawal of representation by his legal team, led by Kanu Agabi (SAN), on Thursday.
Upon entering the dock, Kanu was seen carrying a bundle of documents. He informed the court that he had not yet received his case file and therefore requested an adjournment to allow him adequate time to prepare his defence.
