The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a ₦20 million cash prize for the local government area (LGA) that records the highest number of newly registered voters in the ongoing voter registration exercise.
The party’s state chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, made the announcement on Tuesday during the APC Stakeholders’ Forum held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.
Ojelabi said the initiative was designed to encourage voter participation and strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of future elections.
He explained that the ward with the highest number of newly registered voters will also receive a ₦5 million reward.
“We have put everything in place for a smooth registration exercise. I urge all party members to go out, mobilise people to register, and ensure they collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs),” Ojelabi said.
The APC chairman added that the party would continue to intensify efforts to boost voter registration and political awareness across all local government areas in the state.
